That's what I get for building a team for the playoffs rather than the regular season. :( Every other year I built for the regular season just to get bounced in the first round.
Every year, I figure out the schedule and break it up into the number of regular season games each team plays, and the number of playoff games each team plays. Then I target players and goalies based on that information. This year, I picked a goalie tandem that would give me 20 of 21 possible playoff starts, but didn't pay any attention to how many regular season games I'd have no goalies in. That absolutely cost me the playoffs...I had at least a dozen games of no goalies during the season.
I usually look at regular season goaltending for the auction, with some attention paid to playoffs... then at the deadline I'll fix my goaltending problem, if one exists.
****ty way to bounce for duane. I didn't compare lineups or anything, but obviously he's still drawing very live right now if he had gotten the lineup in for game 1.
I built my team for the playoffs too. Then Bogosian and Wisnesski get traded. Kane and Martinez get hurt and everyone stop scoring. Also helps when every decision back fires. Originally had Lehtera in but when the Okposo news broke, I swapped him in. Cost me the game. Again.
After I'm eliminated, I'm going to run the stats on Stamkos' game day performance. It's unreal how bad he has been for me all season.

Meh. I crashed out due a bunch of different factors but the defeat was pretty comprehensive. gg.
