Shame the 4th wasn't an FCHL game. 6 game night that was dropped. Somehow some idiot named Nathan Beaulieu has 1g, 2a. Lol.

If this Skinner - Rask - Rattie line sticks in Carolina, I may have to call up Rattie just to get all 3 into a game together to try to get the magical 2.5 goal swing.  (G, A, A, GA)

I have no goalies, decent forward group and virtually no D. You should be OK

Ha. Nate Schmidt did a thing.

I'll tell ya, with Subban and Streit out injured, and Letang on his break, my lesser known idiots have pinched in with a few points here and there from the back end. Forbort and Schmidt and Murphy and even Spurgeon started scoring again.

A missed lineup from Mike.

A part of me is mad since this a tank year for me and my original plan was to get as a high a draft pick as possible with my trades
Another part of me is starting to get excited at the possibility of making the playoffs.
Might win my double header unless Steve gets hot in the late games

Im torn

Jay's got a shot at setting the high score for the season.

He's at 7.5, his goalies are done, and he's got Kopitar, Thornton, Burns. Needs 2 points. 5 points to set a league record... wouldn't be impossible with that talent...

Amazing game. Congrats to the America.

Shootouts are so awful.....that overtime was intense.

Shootouts are great. One player. One goalie. One puck. Purest form of the game. Love it.

  • We are past the 2/3 point of the season already
  • BDH loses with the second best score of the night
  • NMH beats him, but falls just shy of setting the high mark for scores this season with 8.5, still good for second best
  • Rockets lead expands to 9 points; 9-1 in their last 10, 15-3 in their last 18; hottest team in the league, perhaps.
  • 6 teams behind are all within 3 points of one another
  • Broadway opens up a 5 point gap between himself and the non-playoff teams with an inspiring goalie-less DH double win
  • LC and ROFB come up short in their bids to keep pace. LC with 5 straight losses.
  • Golden Seals futility continues. 1 win in their last infinity (1-20-1), and a 6 game losing streak
  • Whalers have won 5 straight
  • IR with 4 straigjht wins
  • Beavers narrowly avoid ending their non-negative streak with a 0.5.

That is an insane stat. To have 20 losses out of 22 games.

Honestly, making the playoffs wasn't part of the plan. Some guys are overperforming (Holden) or breaking out (Foligno/Backlund/Skjei).

I also have been lucky, especially with my goaltending

I'm seriously thinking about calling some people up but will have to mock some lineups to see if it makes sense (Drouin, Zucker, Zaitsev etc)

Pfft, Foligno broke out 2 years ago... 31 goals, 73 points.

True but that is his only season above 50 in his career and nobody gave him credit for that season at this years auction. Not sure what happened to him in 15/16?

Well he went back to being ****ty, so nobody was willing to give him much for a one-off season.  I'd say his re-break out is a pretty decent surprise, as with all of Columbus... and also how everyone on Columbus has a billion points, except ****ing Boone Jenner, who scored 31 goals last year.

Foligno was a big part of my run to the finals in 14/15... Limidonk 4 life.  Actually, you traded him to me for Pavol Demitra, didn't you? Back when he was still on the farm (and in Ottawa).

I seem to vaguely recall that trade. Long time ago. 7 or 8 years?

Long, long time ago.

I had Foligno on my main roster for a full 6 years, so that plus however long he stayed on my farm.

Boone Jenner explanation? Serge jinx.

Only he could give a player the franchise tag, have that team break out big time, every player score more....except the "franchise" player. lol

I guess I didn't click post last night, but I feel this is interesting enough to repeat...

Kopitar and Thornton were both a part of the previous FCHL record-setting high score back in 2010.

Alas, Jay fell 3.5 goals short of tying the record.  Needed more from those late skaters.
