KCR and Whalers clinch.

Broadway on the verge of clinching. Magic number is 3 points.

asdfjkl; and the Dusters battle for second.

asdfjkl; will clinch their division with a win or a Broadway loss.

Dusters cannot quite clinch their division yet.

Gilmour and 1st overall still very much up for grabs.

Oh man, I forgot this was the game where I have but one forward, no goalies, and ****ty defense. Free win for Steve. Free shot for Jay to get back to within one.

Panarin

Hamilton
Subban
Beaulieu
Forbort or Wideman

No Goalies.

Good luck me. :)

5 game days left, everyone has 5 games, except the Gilmour division, who have yet to play their double headers, so they have 6.

Everyone plays 80 games, so it's an easy calculation for you on the fly.

I think in Excel, it would just be =80-(gp column value). Then you could just drag that formula down for all 15 teams

That's correct, but that table above doesn't come from Excel (or Google Sheets).

Serious question, where is the table generated from or copy and pasted from?

The standings are in the Master Spreadsheet, which is a Google Doc, but the numbers aren't laid out the way I post them in here. I could probably re-arrange that page to do it, but it would be more than a minor task at this point.

So what I do, is use the numbers there, and manually create a table using the forum's advanced editor capabilities. So it's not copy and pasted from anywhere, but I source the data from the master spreadsheet and put it together manually. (Rather, I copy/paste from the previous time I posted it and update it as necessary).

I've never heard of this software program, can you use it to properly detail the AHL rules somewhere? ANYWHERE?!?!?!

Nope. Not possible. As far as I can tell, and as history shows, this is a 6-10 year task. I don't have that operating capacity.

btw, is there a deadline for calling up our farm players?

Im pretty sure there isnt (I seem to recall someone doing it for the finals once), but I wanted to double check.

Any time you want. No restrictions, other than meeting existing cap and roster size limits. (Ie, call up Marner for $2, you need to have $2 in free cap space and a roster spot - you can drop or buy out anyone at any time.)

I think I did it in the finals with Gudbranson because I had a hole to fill, and an expiring UFA that wouldn't be needed for the rest of the series.

It did not pay off, mostly due to Gudbranson being #bad.

Man... IR has a really weak schedule...

Blindsides
ROFB
Tulane
Broadway
Seals

Only John is in the playoffs. Steve, you obviously need to win your matchup with him... but also need some serious help.

Lost Cause are in an interesting position because they get their double header in the last game of the season. Would be cool if it came down to that somehow.

BlackDevilHawks

Well I only have 7 skaters tonight so that's a start (and no goalies)...

  • The Rockets become the first team to reach 100 point in 5 years (and second ever) (111 pts by LGS in 70 games in 11/12)
  • The asdfjkl; have clinched the Division Supreme title - their 3rd division title, first since 09/10
  • Tugnutt is still up for grabs - the ICD magic number is 3 points.
  • Rockets magic number to clinch the Gilmour and the league is 5 pts
  • Broadway has clinched a playoff spot
  • That means only the 8th spot is unsecured - IR lead the LC and ROFB by 7 points. LC has 5, ROFB 4 games left.
  • Whalers have been hot - 5 wins in a row, 4 losses in their last 14
  • Rockets unbeaten in 5 (4-0-1)
  • Hurricanes have lost 2 in a row, but have been insane overall - 12-4 in their last 16. 21-8 in their last 29.

I can't believe I won with 1 forward and no goalies. Can someone double check my work? There's no way I'm right.

(100 pts isn't that impressive in the grand scheme of things, compared to 70-game seasons)

Hey look, another score put up by the LC that beats 10 or more teams in the league but still loses the game.
