BlackDevilHawks vs. Blindsides Lethbridge Golden Seals vs. The Ales Broadway vs. Injured Reserve Royal Oak Fearsome Beavers vs. KC Reserves asdfjkl; vs. Iowa Crop Dusters Lost Cause vs. Whalers Tulane Flyers vs. Toronto Rocket Newmarket Hurricanes vs. Toronto Rocket
*-clinched a playoff spot ^-clinched division e-eliminated from playoff contention
The first tiebreaker for ties is total wins, that can be seen above. The second is head to head record. The Flyers hold the second tiebreaker over the Blindsides, leading the season series 6-1-0 (1 game remaining).
Rockets will clinch first overall if they ear at least one tie in their double header OR the Hurricanes lose or tie their game
Well, I'm actually playing against the Hurricanes, so this is a lot easier.
If I get a point in either game, I clinch 1st overall. If I go 0/2, we go to game #80 where Jay and I BOTH play against the Lost Cause (so in effect, we'd basically be playing against one another, which is kind of a cool, unforeseen byproduct of the DH system).
I'm excited for this evening. Mentioned before that I am a season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion, who play in The Championship which is the second tier of English football. Currently, Brighton are top of the league with 13 games remaining, and if they finish in the top 2 they'll be promoted to the Premier League where they'll have regular match ups against Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham etc. Well tonight they are playing against Newcastle, relegated from the Prem last season, who are currently second in the league. A win would give them a huge, huge chance of promotion with 12 games remaining. Next season would be great if they make it.
If Brighton was promoted, would the price of season tickets skyrocket? lol.
Thankfully not. It's a 32,000 seater stadium (was opened in 2011) and there are 24,000 season ticket holders. The club has been very good with their pricing structure and the ticket increases at 2% for next season regardless of what league they are playing in which I think is more than fair.
Locking in 7 is weird. John needs to win AND needs Jeff to win. If John loses to avoid leapfrogging Jeff, Duane will be just 1 point back. Lol. Interesting times.

That sounds really cool Ollie. When was the last time Brighton was in the Premiership?
Based on a quick google search, looked like '83 to me, so this must be truly incredible for you.

Ooh, asdfjkl; vs ICD is another good matchup tonight. I think I'd rather get that #2 seed if I'm you.
No respect :)
The Reserves, Injured and Kansas City, both have much better analytics than the Broadways. :P
I think I went on the record a while back saying I was hoping to play you in the first round. Lol.
Updated analytics would be nice
The previous one you did is without D Sedin for me. The reason I picked him up is that Vancouver plays 6/7 1st rd game nights and Sedin filled a lot of holes for me. Just curious what his effect is

If its for the 2009 playoffs, pretty good. If its for this year, not what you were hoping probably.

I'll try to update tonight, but may wait until after the regular season. Though I could easily just do both. Lol.

Jared Spurgeon comes in for Kris Letang. Kid is rocking a sweet 0.339. Actually easily worth his $4 contract.
He's my favorite trade throw-in ever. I even got buyout money with him, then he ended up on my team, and was productive for like 3 years. Lol. Will be sad to see him go this summer.
and ya, we agree, im guessing Jay+Z are the two teams most teams want to avoid. For me, I have a bad history with J, so it makes me want to take on that challenge, as much as I fear the guy who has been preparing for this series since about May of last year.

Is there anyone in the league that doesn't have a bad history with J?
Interesting question. It made me think who I've done the worst against in the playoffs. I would guess Dan.
Going off of memory - my playoff records
asdfjkl; - played 3 times, lost twice (both finals)
BDH - played twice (maybe once?), haven't lost
ROFB - haven't played
Broadway - haven't played
Lethbridge - played twice against Nell franchise, won both
IR - played once, won
Blindsides - played once? Won
KCR - don't think I've played
Iowa - beat Josh once, lost one to Danny G (wow)
Tulane - played once, lost
Whalers - played once (think I won)
Ales - played twice (?) haven't lost
Lost Cause - played once, won
Rocket - played once, won
You all can suck it btw. Some of us are playing meaningless games right now.
Sounds like its time for the FCHL Reject Cup.
One of Dubey or I are the defending champ, btw. lol
Kind of wish we had a reject cup. I don't think my team will be better than it is now. im legit super bummed out for not getting into the playoffs.
I honestly think we should have one. I do see anything wrong with everyone putting in an extra $2 every year, and the guy who wins the reject cup gets a free entry the following year.
the money is meant just so everyone puts in a lineup, its honestly fairly fun, esp if you let the teams use their farm players.

also, we should have started the playoffs last week. Filip Forsberg is never gonna keep this sh*t up, not to even mention what Schiefele has done this last little while to ensure I "show him the money", FCHL style
