Also good luck to Duane and Zach. I feel bad for the loser. I don't know about you guys but the day you are eliminated from the FCHL playoffs, is annually the worst day of the year for me. I want to dig a hole and cry all day.

Even in the middle of a game, if I'm losing then I find I'm pretty grumpy. Not necessarily in the regular season but in the playoffs for sure. Alternately, the best feeling is when you need a goal and you see that team score and you wait and wait for the update to finally see that it was your player.
When Marchand scored his first goal last night to give me the lead I was jumping around the house just like when Joey Bats hit the bat flip homerun.

Its so much easier to pick a team to root for and against in the AHL.
Rooting for Biatch and Dale in AHL
rooting for Biatch and Zach here.
Bistch is still an assh0le but it's funny when people get in arguments with him
and he can keep pointing out that he's a proven winner. Zach is an expansion team so why not make it so I'll be the only expansion team that will never win a title.

Agree completely with the happy/grumpy part of being in the playoffs, and winning/losing. I am truly glad that you experience it all in the same way that I do, nice to know I'm not the only one whose mood changes based on what an FCHL team does in the playoffs. lol! The last 4 games I just lost my **** a little more every game night, and then boom, all gone last night. If fckng Matthews scores a bunch tonight, Im going to put him on the block, and somebody can have the asswipe.

AHL- Biatch is probably still my pick, but man do I love Swacker Dave+Ortenzio. I guess Roy as partner makes me like Swacker Dave more in that conference, and on the other side, its Biatch. I like Dale, but Dan is my boy!
FCHL- I think my sentimental pick is Zach, but I worry that he wont be as awesome as Commish as he has been once he wins and gets lackadaisical about the FCHL. Winning breeds complacency, maybe we need Zach hungry to keep this league at its optimum Admin level.

Lol. Completely agree with the playoff experience. You guys see my 20 posts a night where I go through all of the emotions. Hahah.

pfft, I considered quitting the other day if I lost game 5 and 6. Lol
You may notice scores get updated a lot quicker when I'm winning lol so don't worry about complacency

Ya, but the winning I meant is that you finally get your title. Once you pop your FCHL cherry, you may no longer look at it in the same way.
Its great when your chasing the title and the closer you get, the better. But once you get there, it may not be that great, and then it begins to seem a little bit same old same old after a while.
(are we still talking about a hockey pool, because this sure is beginning to sound like a woman)

I want an honest opinion on what you would, cant help myself, I need to ask this:
IF I had won last night, tonight would be my game 7. I was curious to see how badly this postponed game would have hurt me, and I realized, really bad. Out: Schiefele+THall, In: Marchessault and....nobody! Mark Stone is out too, so I would need to go empty on game 7, OR.........call up a farmie. Say, Mitch Marner.
Game 7. Would you burn a whole year of Marner on possibly just 1 game? (I know some may argue I should have done it long ago, but honestly, would have made 0 difference) I'm also thankful I lost last night now, cause that decision would have been insane for me.
sorry to crowd up this great game 7 thread with my crap, but Im really curious what you guys would do. I do think Id have the balls to call him up frankly.

I would have called him up but probably for different reasons. I've made playoffs 3 times and won 1,2,2 games each year. My desire to get out of the 1st round would force me to do it. Plus I have no clue wtf I'm
Doing 83% of the time.

I probably would. Getting past Jay is an accomplishment and would make you the favorite to win the title. I think you have to. I've done it before, but not with anybody as good as Marner (or even close, really).
I have Johansson in now, but also available are Coyle, Rask, Eberle...
I just hate the matchup for both Johansson and Coyle (facing each other) and Rask and Eberle are kind of a notch down in expectation this season.
Johansson is a step up from Coyle too, so I kind of have to go with him.
I don't know if this is valid at all, but it may be useful to load up on Caps to kind of try to neutralize Backstrom, who is one of just two real impact players left in Duane's lineup (I also have Oshie).
I haven't looked. Would you have the cap space to do it?
Ya, I sort of always had the cap space there for just such a possibility for the playoffs. I used it to call up Ryan Murphy once I had D injuries, and would have used it on Marner, if I decided I was that hard up. Marchessault though, lol. Would have been fitting considering it was you. :)
