So the only 1 pm skater in our match is David Savard. He's Jay's worst player. If he gets on the board at all, I'll just give up and not bother with 7 pm, because I know I'm doomed.

I have David Savard in the AHL and he is probably my best D man. I hope he scores a lot today so Dale can be doomed too.

Hossa status was just changed to day to day. If he doesn't play and I use Sutter instead, he goes to the bottom of my OT order or am I misunderstanding the rule?
That's based on what I wrote a week or two ago in the rules forum, which was mostly from memory and I'm not entirely sure it makes the most sense, but nobody said a word about it, so that's how we'll proceed.

I'm trying to figure out my rationale for that, but I can't come up with why the replacement wouldn't just take over the same # in the order?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I read your rule and it seemed pretty clear he would slot into #10. It's cool, I'm fine with that. I just wanted to get clarification moving forward.

Say you find out right now Panarin isn't playing tonight and you substitute Rask for him. Do you want Rask being your #1, or would you prefer everyone else move up a spot and Rask goes to #10?
I see on Yahoo that it says he's day-to-day, but there's no note. And he participated in the morning skate, and there's no news about him not playing... and I watched his last game and he was on the ice for the final shift, even though some report said he left the game in the 3rd period. It's confusing.
But no, it's one of those three for my #6 forward, slot.

Oh, OK. Well I'd love to help you but obviously I have a conflict of interest. I'll tell you at 7:15 what my order would be.

Yeah, that's a good point.
Also, I think as I'm debating swapping out Coyle, it's important to note that I wrote in that rule update that lineups are frozen when your team's first game happens.... so I can still swap the order around, should I choose to do so, or, if I swap Coyle out, I can keep Rask or Eberle as the #6.
I feel like I should point that out because that's probably something that's going to happen.
(And it won't matter, of course, because when the hell does it get to #6 or beyond.)
haha, the Rask+Skinner part, the Eberle playing at 10pm......all of Zachs reasons make total sense to me, thats actually a pretty bad sign for you, sorry

Lots of reasons that are probably made up and don't matter statistically. Lol :)
What the hell? Marcus Johansson left the game with an "illness"... like, if you're too sick to play, gtfo so I can start someone who plays a full game. (Though, he got an assist, so.... maybe it worked out for me.)
