What a stupid season. It’s like four guys doing this.
Five by my count. Kucherov, Tavares, Kopitar, Schwartz and Schenn.
The fact that you're actually getting top production out of Kopitar is the truly amazing thing about it...everyone who has bought high on him in the history of this league has been disappointed.
Guessing all 5 of those guys are at least 0.800 right now. Insane and unsustainable over the long term. Luckily for you, I think one season is just short enough that one can survive a mad run of players playing above their head.
I dont think Kopitar is that big of a surprise at all.
We're taking about a guy who up until last year was a PPG player pretty much, and now, no longer having to play Sutter's system, was a candidate to get back to PPG. if anything, maybe he's scoring a few more goals than usual, but he's not that much of a jump for me. I can see him sustaining a lot of this, though maybe not all.
Kuch+Tav not a big surprise at all for any of us Im guessing.
Schenn+Schwartz are doing much better than I would have thought, but I also thought Schwartz was headed for a career year. Schenn suprised me though, I thought his usage in the Philly PP might have been the reason for his success, didnt realize he still had this in him.
