I might change my mind before game time, but the kid scores goals when given the opportunity. He's producing a lot of shots in his ice time for the Panthers (8 shots in 12 minutes against Ottawa), and they are playing the Islanders, who have been bleeding goals for months.

Makes sense. You've got a few options. It's nice to be able to run with the hot hand.

Big break for the Rockets. Sounds like Karlsson isn’t making the road trip so he’ll miss game 2. Sens are back in Ottawa for Game 3, so sounds like he’ll be back.

This season is the third time the top two teams from the regular season have met in the finals.

The other times:

FCHL's inaugural season - 2006-07 - Flyers vs Whalers

and

2010-11 when the Golden Seals played the Moneyshots... though the Seals dominated that season and had a 15 point lead on the Moneyshots in the regular season.

Paradoxically, it also happens to be the second consecutive season that the final featured the #1 and #2 seeds. However, last year, the #2 seed was really the third best team as the #4 seed had the second most points. #1 and #2 faced off in the second round.

Eichel goal is big too. Gives you OT over my 1.5 from Ovechkin (though I've still got a period to take it back).

Empty net Gogo assist gives you a 3.0-2.5 edge. I have the OT and it’s Rantanen, Barrie, Perron, plus your goalies against Nate Schmidt.

I’m setting the current line at Seals -965

Scoreless first in LA and crickets through a period and a half in Vegas.

Ok... I can win both AHL and FCHL if all games end as is. Will need LA to win the shootout, though.

Barrie just batted down what would have been a breakaway pass to Perron with an empty net... Seal on Seal treachery.

Yup, and Perron had a prime chance minutes earlier. Also Haula basically had an empty net earlier in the third and he slid it back out the other side through Varlamov’s legs. Would have been a Perron assist.

seals +180 now.

Welp. Any Flames goal unless Hamilton scores or assists will win it for Dubey. He's in the clubhouse with a respectable 2.5.

Feels like a foregone conclusion now. I can’t watch the game because it’s blacked our on Game Center so I’m going to go to bed. Hopefully I wake up to good news.

Zach is 2-0 but I'd back Dubey here. he's almost pulled out two straight no goalie games. I see a 4-3 seals win.

Zach just got all in on the flop in Omaha with top pair and no redraw against a 4 card wrap and a flush draw and held unimproved.

It's just the built in divisional rivalry on the ice. Off the ice, foes can be friends.
