Is it just me or has that middle division always been the crappiest division? lol. I want to be in that division.

They won three titles in a row between 2012/13 and 2014/15. Not too shabby. Then again, they've always had Mike, so... shrug.

Moneyshots had a bit of a run at being a powerhouse team too, just before that... or probably overlapping a bit.

I'm just talking more about depth. I feel like every year, my division and the bottom division send 3-4 teams every year to the playoffs, meanwhile the middle one sends 1-2.

I agree. It definitely does feel that way to me too. I wonder what the playoff participation rate is for each team... let's take a look...

By my count:

supreme - 33 playoff appearances
gilmour - 30
tugnutt - 29

Pretty evenly balanced, I'd say. Of course, each division is guaranteed a spot, so 12 places automatic for each division...

So the bottom 5 spots have been held by:

supreme - 21
gilmour - 18
tugnutt - 17

Skews the percentages a bit more, but I dunno. I don't know what to make of this stuff.

I kind of thought the flatness would be even more pronounced with the IR.

Compared to say... this one:

SeasonPts Pct.
10.299
20.506
30.614
40.650
50.793
60.643
70.702
80.579
90.493
100.300
110.381
120.688

Wow. I didn't think it would be like that. I guess it is balanced, but doesn't feel like it.

That first year gave it away.  Nell was awful first year.  Then I believe he proceeded to select Kyle Turris over Patrick Kane.

Maroons/Seals was just the team I could think of that had the biggest swings. Like, completely dominant years mixed in with serious tankery. A start contrast from IR, as an example, who just always stood out to me as being very consistently in and around the playoff bubble.

I think so.  From what I remember I beat Nell in year 3 finals and it gutted him.  That's when he started to lose interest in the pool until year 4 playoffs when we met in the first round.  He was so pumped again and then I swept him and that was the nail in the coffin.

Year 5 was Dubey's first year.

Nell lost in the finals in Year 3, and then met Broadway in the first round in year 4. I don't have playoff results for these years, so it's tough to say whether he went out in the first round to John, or maybe advanced to the second round where Jay swept him?

I also remember a wrinkle where Nell wanted one of his friends to join the league and was miffed that he didn’t have sole authority to make that happen. I don’t remember the circumstances of that very well but I definitely remember it being a thing.

That was so long ago, I was always sure I swept him in year 4. It's possible I did it in round 2 and then lost to Biatch in the finals. I'll see if I can find anything on fcp

I barely remember the stretch where Nell left. I was so busy I don't think I even read his entire goodbye post.
