It would be nice to know what is going on with Kane before going on vacation for 8 days! For selling me this disaster I am going to have to cheer against Duane the rest of the way. That was dirty Duane.
I'm giving the Kansas City Reserves my official endorsement to win the title. The BlackDevilHawks and Flyers were contenders but I am happy to see Jeff step up and get a game breaker like Spezza. Good job Jeff and good luck.
No, he threw the track suit into a cold tub, he didn't do it while Kane was still in it.
Kane had been playing hurt for a while, and the speculation is he decided not to anymore after the way he was treated. He'll be done for the year and get traded at the draft.

I would pay a 3rd rounder, every year, just to get this kind of annual endorsement.
You can drop prospects any time you like, although if the trade deadline hadn't just passed I would have offered you the picks I have in the 2015 and 2016 first rounds for him.
Tulane Flyers have put up the top score 11 times, tops in the league. Blindsides are next with 10. After them? Whalers with 8, despite being just the 11th best average score per game.
Blindsides are the only team over 2.5 points per game. We've all kind of trended downward lately, it seems. Maybe a function of more 7-8 game nights. Haven't fact checked that one.
I missed the momentous occasion a while back, but Steve has long been eliminated from playoff contention. He's 40 pts back with just 13 games to play.
Nobody has clinched a playoff spot yet, officially.
Meh, I've had two nights where yahoo screwed my goalies and cost me -2 and a missed lineup that cost me -1.5. I dunno how that affects the stats but if I don't finish first overall I'm going to be pissed at myself!
I was looking at past standings. Danny went 10-32 a few years back during short season. I'm 10-46 I think right now. Next lowest I saw was 20 wins. Don't know about the Nell yrs though.
On that note, I need to go 11-1-1 down the stretch to set a team record for points and wins. Not sure I don't have a better team this year than I did in 11-12, but who knows. I won't have it statistically.
Hmmm... looking back. Pieced this together from my posts on FCP around this time... Pretty solid roster. Remember, this was 4 seasons ago, so guys like Lecavalier, Elias, Lupul, etc were relevant.
Lecavalier
Hossa
Pavelski
Thornton
Elias
Lupul
J. Staal
Marchand
Michalek
D. Jones
Ladd
Booth
Samuelsson
Ryder
Foligno
Kennedy
Lidstrom
Corvo
Beauchemin
Martin
Seidenberg
Foster
Vlasic
Kuba
Ranked in terms of pool points total (not per game):
Hossa (11th overall)
Elias (13th)
Ryder
Thornton
Michalek
Pavelski
Lupul (all the above were tier 2)
Marchand
Ladd
J. Staal
Lidstrom (25th among D)
Kuba
.... that's it for D in the top 40... weak.
St. Louis (1st among goalies)
Calgary (13th)
........
So what have we got... Current D is soooo much better than that set. Forwards are probably close. Currently, my top forward is 16 (Nick Foligno)... also Parise (30th), St. Louis (50th), Perreault, Bjugstad, Eberle, Bergeron, Marleau, Hornqvist, Gaborik round out 51-80 (end of ranked players)
Both teams had 10 ranked forwards... I think the top end was better on the 11-12 team, though. Depth a bit better currently, think, with Filppula and Johansson just missing the cut. Also, injuries have hurt a bit, or Parise and Hornqvist may be higher (Parise probably ahead of Foligno)... but I'm sure injuries happened that year, too.
One last thing... that was the year I tied the consecutive wins record. Had 86 points, lost the division by 7(!) and got swept by Biatch in the first round in a 4-5 matchup.
That's my whole team. Basically 10 above average to good forwards, all interchangeable. Annoying on deep nights like tonight. My only goal scorer on the bench, obviously.

This Buffalo trade gets you off the hook, well done.
