It's funny, I was agonizing over trying to get Backes into the lineup somehow all day. I'm not sure it would have mattered in the end though, since I would have most likely subbed him in for Frolik if he was going to skate for me tonight.
This is kind of an interesting way to look at my points per game stats... instead of an average, it's a running total. I separated the divisions to make it more clear.

The one thing that stands out to me, is the the Crop Dusters have basically broken even in the last 20 or so games. Struggling to put up positive scores...
Also, Biatch's big drop around game 22 is noticeable. I would think that's where he set the record for lowest score ever... after a pretty red hot start.
20 minutes of hockey for my whole season...I can't get into the playoffs without a Nyquist goal, two Nyquist assists or 1.5 points between Nyquist and Muzzin.
Lethbridge Golden Seals 0.0 vs. asdfjkl; 1.0 Broadway 5.0 vs. Toronto Rocket 1.0 Blindsides (-1.0) vs. Kansas City Reserves 2.5 BlackDevilHawks 3.5 vs. Royal Oak Fearsome Beavers 2.0 Iowa Crop Dusters 3.0 vs. Tulane Flyers 0.0 Lost Cause 2.0 vs. Newmarket Hurricanes 3.0 The Ales 0.5 vs. Whalers 1.5
February 24, 2015: In the Iowa Crop Dusters' inaugural season (taking over the mrdannyg franchise), the Dusters endured a record-smashing 16-game losing streak, surpassing the 14-game streak set in 2006 and matched just 2 months earlier. This record is as much a testament to MrDannyG's lasting legacy as it is to the current state of the Crop Dusters franchise. The streak ended with a 3-0 win over the Tulane Flyers in the penultimate game of the season, briefly bringing the Flyer's playoff hopes into question.
John's going to need to score 5.5 more goals than me on Thusrday to win the unofficial title that only I care about.... most total score (or points scored per game).
Ollie can do it with 11.0 more than me and 6.0 more than John.
I own the head to head over John this year so any combo of a blindsides win, a Broadway loss or a pair of ties has me one. John needs me better my result in the final game.
It's okay, we made a good run at it. Just couldn't get any real traction going on that final spot, I had a feeling I was all done after Monahan saved the Biatch last week. Sometimes it just isn't meant to be.
Question is . . .. Do I deserve to do well in the playoffs where I couldn't beat the Crop Dusters and the Beavers at the end of the season, when I really needed to? Ah. . . . Its a whole new season. My guys get a couple days to rest up, and hopefully I get Ollie. . . . .now sans-Kane for the first round, with only two games with Sid (if necessary), and with the choice of Rob Zepp or Devan Dubnyk in goal. I think John might be a tougher matchup, but either way, I look forward to a chance to cause an upset. Hopefully after the first round I might get Seguin and Edler back!

Ollie has Patrick Kane. . . . he is out 6-10 weeks. 2 of the 7 games crosby plays. . . . . in goal. . . The Flyers are on their 3rd string goalie (Rob Zepp) and the Wild traded for Devan Dubnyk. Don't worry about it though Dubey. You don't need to worry about Ollie's juggernaut - and things like countering Stamkos for 4-7 straight games :)
Ollie doesn't have the Wild, I do. I think he has Washington
I stand corrected. I looked at the last two TEAMS on the spreadsheet for him. They were buyouts. He has SJS and STL . . . . . that is a BIT different . . . ..
I have more an issue with the insinuation that Ollie having him as one of his goalies makes him a more attractive first round opponent. considering his GAA is 4th in the NHL. (Zepp is 56th for the record)

Fair enough. . . . Opinions are allowed to vary. I don't think its insulting to logic. . . because . . . frankly, I have seen Dubnyk, Zepp, Rask and Luongo play. . . . . and if I am starting a team, Dubnyk might be the 3rd choice, but he isn't going to be the first or 2nd. I think comparing Dubnyk to Zepp is what you are doing, and I never intended THAT. They ARE in the same league, in my mind, as second level goalies. But they aren't a recently pissed off Tuuka Rask, who was part of winning low GAA for the Bruins last year. They aren't Florida with a comfortable Roberto Luongo in a playoff race with D in front of him like Campbell, Ekblad, Gudbranson and Mitchell. Minny has Suter, Spurgeon, Ballard . . . and? Philly -- Don't even get me started on how HAPPY I have to be that 87 year old Kimmo Timmonen is going to dust them off to play instead of pylons like MacDonald, Coburn, Grossmann and Nick Schultz. When MDZ is going to get an EXTENSION, because of how well he is playing. . . shoot me NOW!
Logic dictates that I answer your charge. I'd rather my tandem of Boston and Florida vs. Minny and Philly. THAT is all I meant. Dubnyk ain't Patrick Roy, Eddie Belfour or even Olaf Kolzig. He's a Jim Carrey/Ron Tugnutt/Robert Esche . . . . . at BEST. Zepp, well, the fact that he is a 32 year old ROOKIE should say all we NEEDED to know about him. Add the D in front of them. . . . and yeah. . . . logically, I can substantiate my position. We can agree to disagree on OPINION, as I always tend to do. Now, instead of doing what I used to do, which would be to milk this thing forever, I will merely say, Dubnyk is a better goalie than I will ever be, doing it on a stage I will never see. So I have no room for criticism, and won't anymore.
Oh - only other comparison could be to my other potential opponent - Broadway. Who has the Kings and the Blue Jackets. So . . . . last year's stanley cup winning goalie, the year before's Vezina trophy winner. . . . . vs. Dubnyk and Zepp. Another comparison which I based my "ease of opponent" insinuation on. And, frankly, I didn't insinuate. I flat out said it.
And yes. Comparing Dubnyk's first 10 games as a 23 year old 6 years ago playing for the Oilers to Rob Zepp's first 10 games as a 32 year old playing for the flyers in 2015 to support your comparison is insulting to logic.
