Boy, tough stretch for the Rockets - Whalers on Friday, Dusters on Saturday.

Didn't check my lineups in time to see that Ghost was a healthy scratch. Hopefully it doesn't come back to haunt me.

This Boston Philly game has proven to be quite fruitful.

I was just checking my AHL score, and noticed was playing against Marchand and his 2G,3A.

then came to FCHL, saw your post....and yup, playing against Marchand here too.

FML, there goes both my games before 5pm!

 If there's ever a game where a 6-0 lead isn't safe, it's Whalers/Hurricanes

And I just mean that there's history that has shown that. Arguably the most famous game in FCHL history. The infamous "Wii" game.

Streit came back and got me an assist!

I'm not loving my chances here, though.  I'm up by a goal, but you've got all sorts of power late, and my goalies as well.

7 Canes goals and nothing from Skinner or Rask. Ouch.

That's impressive. New record for this year. I think the all time record is 12 or 12.5?

  • Newmarket Hurricanes explode for 11.5 points led by Brad Marchand with 2g, 3a, Nazem Kadri with 2g, Anze Kopitar with 3a, Max Pacioretty with 1g, 1a, and Torey Krug with 1g, 1a.
  • 11.5 points is the highest score these season, soundly surpassing the 9.0 posted by the Rockets on Gameday 32.
  • 11.5 points is also just 0.5 points short of the all-time league record, held by the asdfjkl;, set in 2010.
  • The 11.5-0.0 game did set one record, though. It now becomes the all-time greatest margin of victory in a single FCHL game, beating the record from 2010 set by the asdfjkl; in the same game he scored 12 points (12-1 win over the Flyers).
  • With the monstrous score, the Hurricanes now hold the highest average score for the season.
  • The Hurricanes have won 7 of their last 8 as they try to stay alive in the fight for the Gilmour Division and first overall
  • Meanwhile, the Rockets win streak comes to an end at 8 with a big loss to the second place Crop Dusters
  • The Rockets now have a 9 point lead for first overall, and 11 points for the division.
  • Longest losing streak: 4 games, Blindsides due to a doubleheader, double loss
  • Longest winning streak: 3 games, Crop Dusters and Injured Reserve
  • Broadway hold on to the 8th and final playoff spot with another win - they are 10 and 5 in their last 15.
  • Lost Cause and ROFB both keep pace with wins, but are 2 and 6 points back respectively.
  • Ales hold on to last overall, by 2 points over the Blindsides

Ironically, I have actually had reason offensive production from the squad this week but the the goal tending has been abysmal.

Well done to the Canes. That greatest margin or victory record is epic!
