Here's a cool FCHL thing. I was leaving the house around 5pm today, and I did one last check on my comp for directions to where I was heading, and thought, let me just quickly check my FCHL lineup on Yahoo, since they will tell me about any last minute injuries. I see Stone day-to-day, I take him out and switch to Wennberg. WHEW, lucky break. As I start to leave the house and grab my phone, I think....hmm, wonder if anyone sent me notice of the Stone thing, I could totally see Jay being that kind of stand up guy. And yup, there it is, text from Jay half hour before telling me Stone is hurt. FCHL baby, it just doesn't get any better.

Oh yeah. He assisted Carter's goal, but they say Kopitar tipped it, so his assist got bumped.

Great season, John. I was fortunate to win tonight and even more fortunate to win game two. Both could have very easily went your way. Hope you are still alive in the AHL at least!

If Zach wins his series, it sets up a semi-finals rematch between Dan and I. Would be fun to battle it out again.

Nobody is rooting for you more than me Zachary. If you would lose then I will have to play the winner of Jay/Arp. Although, after watching Dan steamroll his way through the first round, I'm not sure it really matters who any of us play at this point.

Regardless of where you stay don't let yourself get talked into building a day around seeing the gas town clock.

When we went to Gastown we ate at the Pourhouse for which I remember two things -- 1) they had amazing burgers and 2) we ordered 'freshly baked cookies' for desert which were taking a really long time to come (as apparently they are baked to order).
