Hmm, I thought I'd be an underdog in this game since I have no goalies. But then I see Arp is forced to use his goalies against the hottest team in the league so he may give up 7.

I didn't like the direct negativity. I think the "mrdannyg memorial tournament" speaks for itself. Lol

I really needed to win Game 5 to win this series.

Duane and I trade no-goalie games in 6 and 7, starting with the Rockets in game 6.

1. Sidney Crosby
2. Nikolaj Ehlers
3. Jeff Skinner
4. Victor Rask
5. P.K. Subban
6. Dougie Hamilton
7. Mathieu Perreault
8. Boone Jenner
9. Mark Streit
10. Derek Forbort

No goalies.

GL Duane. No goalies for me, but a few decent skaters. I have you as nearly a 1-goal favorite, so you're in the driver's seat.

I care Steve, I care! And you are not a loser!!! Every team in the FCHL is a vital part of what makes us all so great. We are greater than the sum of our parts my good friend.

Lol even I don't care about the losers bracket. I make my lineups to pretend I'm the 8th seed. I live in denial.

There's no way to save face. I care about all you guys.

It stems from the AHL where I view the reject cup as the worst thing in fantasy sports. Negreanu gives out a decent monetary prize and makes everyone try to feel good about their ****ty teams. I really considered not setting any lineups this year but it would just draw attention to it and I don't want to end anyone's potential gravy train. He throws a lot of extra money into the pool. A lot of the things are actually fun, but some are unnecessary.

The reject cup in the AHL is nice because it's practically impossible to actually be competitive in the main league for certain teams (mine).

Duane might put up 12 today.

I get a goal from Skinner to make it close(-ish), look up and, oh, ok, he got a Fisher from Josi goal.

I'm down by 5.

There are still scenarios in which I can win. I have Crosby and Streit late and he has his goalies (and Jeff Carter, blah).

That lead is down to 3, and his goalies haven't even hit the ice yet...

(Should have been 2.5 but I had a goal called back (with an assist to Duane) due to an offside :(()

Eh I played someone far worse than him offensively instead because I didn't want two flames d-men. Tried to get cute and got burned.

Heck of a showing for Duane's sports players with their backs against the wall. I put up a 3.5 with no goalies and get routed.

He's going to need that offense come tomorrow when it's his turn to try to win sans goalie.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet on me.

Down by 0.5, losing OT

I have a period of Marchand, Krug, Chara, H. Sedin, Tarasenko, Kopitar vs. Muzzin and Horvat. A Marchand point gives me the OT

I have to say, right now, this is my worst season ever in the FCHL, never hated this pool so much. lol
Both AHL+FCHL left me looking like a contender, scoring like mad+winning games when I could no longer move up in standings, and then out in 4 straight out as soon as playoffs started. So fcking frustrating, I forgot how much I can also hate this format, as much as I love it.

Seriously, worst ending ever. So much easier when you suck and finish 12th or 9th or whatever. :)

Good season Arp. You got a tough draw in the playoffs. Blame our dumb system.

Meanwhile, I'd have eliminated either of you in 6 games, but I'm stuck going to a 7th game vs the #8 seed. What a dumb concept for a league. Lol. :)

thanks. I got a tough draw for sure when the playoffs started, cause its Jay, but it didn't matter, cause my team just sucked in these games. Im more disappointed in how I did in these all important games, and disappointed at how well I did when it didn't matter, and it will cost me in future salary. that blows.

I dont think I would have won a round in the DannyG Cup lol

eh, its the way it goes. just feeling the sting right now, so Im ranting to the only people in the world who MIGHT care lol

definitely the better team won, you were solid throughout, and clinched with no goalies, and looks like you will win tonight by like 2/3 with no goalies. sick show.

Edit - I would not have beaten Jay in 6 because he would have just made the most disgusting 3-goal comeback with a Marchand 3rd period hat trick and would win Game 6. Lmao.

It just shows how much playing a hot or cold team in the NHL can make a difference too. A month ago MAF probably shuts out Calgary, but then Gulatzan has them playing like the 85 Oilers and he gives up 4.
