Wow. Bolts really rewarding Yanni Gourde after one season and a good start. >$5 million AAV over 6 years with a 3-year no-trade clause! What a waiver pickup for me.

This has not been the start I was hoping for. I didn't think my team lost that much over the summer. Some cold starts for some guys I guess. Ehlers just got his first the other day. Petro and Muzzin all well below their expectation, I'd say Hamilton and Ristolainen a decent bit below where I'd like them.
Then Reilly Smith taking a big step back, though that wasn't exactly unpredictable. The rest of my tweener forwards have all been bad. You'd expect one of them to have an up year or whatever and be a contributor.
Parise's been my only real positive surprise so far (not counting Oleksiak because a) he won't sustain it, and b) he doesn't make any of my lineups anyways. LOL), though I was expecting him to bounce back.
I feel you. I'm so back and forth in my thoughts about either making trades to improve my team, or making trades to improve my future. I just can't see any way I can catch up to Dubey on paper, that team is so stacked at the moment. Puts me in the tough spot where I would be dealing away significant future pieces just to "not quite" catch up and still lose in the playoffs. So far, team "that doesn't make sense" is winning out over team "just ****ing go for it".
Well, I think my team will make it into the playoffs...I’m not that worried about that part. It’s just trying to match lineups with the top of the league that makes me feel like I don’t have much of a shot. But yes, anything can happen once you’re in.
Yes, please do put some analysis together Zach. The homer goggles in me feel like I have a contender lineup for sure, and while I havent looked at Dubey vs Me on paper, find it hard to believe anyone would be a clear fav over my team.
wow, that really sounds like a homer!
