Rochester (that's where you live, right?) is shockingly sprawly... yikes. There's basically no good way to provide service to those outer neighbourhoods. This is why I will continue to say that the best transportation plan is a good land use plan.

If Ontario can elect Ford, and a bunch of provinces swing Conservative, it will happen again.
Conservative policies = hide what you are actually going to do and wait for the Liberals to shoot themselves in the foot enough that the electorate is demanding change and swoop in.

McKay is interesting -- I think his PC roots should boost the Conservatives in Ontario, his steadfast refusal to learn French will kill them in Quebec.
Though he his is somewhat damaged goods; when they went after Trudeau for spending $1k on yoga everyone was hammering him for using military helicopters for community when he was the Minister of Defense.
