People voting for Comrade Borin Johnson / dismantling the NHS because they don't "like" Corbyn. It's 2016 / USA all over again -- didn't you guys learn your lesson from the Brexit referendum?
Can someone else update the spreadsheet for Zach after this game? It seems cruel to make him have to take his own team out of the division leader slot.

If there is one thing that recent politics has shown is that, for the most part, people are inherently self destructive

Royal Oak Fearsome Beavers 5.5 vs. Whalers 2.5 Iowa Crop Dusters 5.5 OT vs. asdfjkl; 5.5 Toronto Rocket 3.0 vs. BlackDevilHawks 5.5 Injured Reserve 4.5 vs. Lethbridge Golden Seals 6.0 Nickle City Nerf Herders 3.0 vs. KC Reserves 4.5 Blindsides 4.0 vs. Newmarket Hurricanes 2.5 Lost Cause 2.0 vs. The Ales 3.0 Broadway 6.5 vs. asdfjkl; 5.5
asdfjkl; mistakenly dressed 7 forwards. Unfortunately our precedent is that we drop the highest scoring player, which means Dan's team loses 2.5 pts and his OT player, meaning he loses to Broadway and loses in OT to the Crop Dusters.

Thinking more about this (full disclosure, at Dan’s request) and I think it’s maybe more fair to drop the top score from the 6 F slots (and therefore not the ÚTIL spot since it’s, to me, obvious that player was intended to be in the lineup.
I’m looking for feedback and precedent on this if anyone has any and will finalize a decision in the morning. Unfortunately this impacts game results so it’s tricky. I don’t think it impacts anyone in my division so I hope you all believe I can be impartial.
This is why asked what the ruling was? I wasn't sure. This really sucks if this is reversed but all I ask is if there is a precedent for this. I believe this has happened before
I’m asking if someone knows the precedent. I’m guessing there isn’t one where the OT was the highest scoring player dropped. But I can’t figure out how to search it.
I don't know the precedent either, but I'm completely fine with making it the highest scoring non Util player that is removed. It will change it to a loss for me, but no way Dan isn't playing him in any lineup
I guess part of the question is, is the intent to punish or make it right?
With the current group, there’s no reason to do anything more than make it right.
That said, making it right is dropping the highest forward score.
That makes it right?
My ”making it right“ was intended to mean like if he hadn’t misclicked (or whatever) and accidentally added a 7th, how can we get it close to what would have really happened?

I don’t see how any GM in the current league could argue in favor of any other outcome. If you don’t pay enough attention to your lineup when you set it, you deserve to lose. Can’t see how any reasonable person could argue otherwise. So...losing your highest scoring forward as a result of starting too many forwards is perfectly appropriate. I’m quite sure that’s what we’ve done in the past.
I'm good with whatever you decide Zach, but remember for years, if you didn't dress a goalie and left one on your bench, you still got a -2.5, even though no one really meant to go with no goalies.
We can but only to come into effect next season / we could also change the Yahoo set up as was discussed in this thread earlier.
I should state that in the make it right vs punish discussion, we are usually pretty ruthless in the way we rule on that kind of thing so losing the OT makes more sense to me in retrospect.
