The NHL made a number of scheduling adjustments caused by the Canucks COVID outbreak. Unfortunately, Apr 14 becomes a 6-game night. It goes on as scheduled unless another game is postponed, at which point it will be cancelled. At this point, it is our only 6-game playoff night.
If there are circumstances that result in FCHL playoff games dropping to 5 NHL games or fewer, we do have a number of extra gamedays that were created by these scheduling changes:
6-game nights on April 13, 16, 18, 21 and May 6.
May 8th is also a 14-game night. This was originally dropped from our schedule as it was originally the last day of the NHL season and we typically avoid this game because of the uncertainty of players being scratched, etc.
May 10th has been a popular day for rescheduling from the NHL's point of view, and it is now an 8-game night. With more than half the league playing on the 10th, it's possible fewer players are healthy scratched om that May 8th game, in case we are forced to use it. The NHL has games scheduled through May 16, but no other days with more than 3 games.
